AwardTravel Bits:

We don’t always include Amex Offers in Daily Digest (because there are too many!), but we’re telling you know about this low-hanging fruit. Amex has a targeted offer for Google Express to earn $20 or 2,000 MR points by simply spending $60. Google Express is a service that buys things from local retailers for you; you can buy almost anything on Google Express if it’s available in your area.

One of Capital One’s popular travel credit cards, Venture, is adding TSA PreCheck / Global Entry credit ($85 / $100) to its list of benefits. The card used to have a $59 annual fee and has recently increased to $95. Many of its cardholders also like its unique benefit of 10x miles on hotels.com, but I have to be the party pooper by saying that hotels.com gift card can frequently be acquired at 15-20% discount, so the 10x miles isn’t really the best deal if you’re maximizing your rewards.

Radisson Rewards has launched a promotion called Dream Deals offering up to 30% off on stays and 5,000 bonus points per stay in participating properties. The promotions runs in U.S. and Canada properties in the month of June and several others regions through August. In case you forgot, let me remind you that Radisson Rewards used to be called Club Carlson.

Air Canada has begun offering satellite-connected inflight Wi-Fi on their international fleet starting with theBoeing 777-300ER aircrafts. The service will be provided by Gogo Inflight internet. Several credit cards offer complimentary Gogo wi-fi access including Amex Business Platinum, U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve and Flexperks Travel Rewards, and City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite. Discover IT Miles card also offers a $30 credit towards any inflight wi-fi purchases.

Emirates’ president Sir Tim Clark revealed that the airline is reviewing its economy class product and pricing, including possible HBO fare. The Hand Bag Only fare, or simply called the Basic Economy fare has become more and more common in the airline industry. I wouldn’t be surprised when all airlines start offering the low-cost option in their flights.

Priority Pass has added many participating locations recently. Yesterday we see a new partnering restaurant in LAX, and now members have access to Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at EWR and IAD according to AngelinaTravels. These new additions can’t be seen on PP’s website yet.

United Shopping portal is an easy way to earn extra United miles buy doing your everyday shopping. Currently they’re offering an opportunity to earn 500-1,000 bonus miles by spending $150 - $300. Besides United, many other rewards programs have shopping portals including Alaska, American, British, Delta, Southwest, and even Amtrak. Always check the cash back comparison sites such as Cashbackholic.com and Cashbackmonitor.com before making your purchases online.

Another reminder that American Express offers the so-called “Authorized User Bonuses” from time to time on various of their cards where you get a good chunk bonus points by adding authorized users to your account and meet the spending requirements. Many have reported having received these offers for their Platinum card and Premier Rewards Gold card, and it looks like offers are available for the Business Platinum and Business Gold cards as well (but instead of authorized user cards, it’s employee cards).
